Maestro Parodi debuts with Opera Tampa

Jorge Parodi, the Music Director of the Senior Opera Theater at the Manhattan School of Music, will conduct Rossini’s The Barber of Seville (Feb. 2 and 4). Parodi has been hailed for his expressive style.

Opera Tampa invites Parodi for an immediate return

After the success of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, Opera Tampa invites Maestro Parodi to return for their next production of Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro.  Opera Tampa’s Managing Director requested Parodi to take over the lead of their upcoming production, directed by Bernad Uzan. (March 2 and 4).

Parodi Joins Chautauqua Opera Company Music Staff

Jorge Parodi joins Chautauqua Opera Company music staff, to lead a concert of opera scenes with orchestra, and to assist Chautauqua Opera General Director Steven Osgood in Don Giovanni and Candide. Performances throughout July 2018.

Parodi makes his Opera Orlando debut with Tales of Hoffmann

Jacques Offenbach’s (1819-1880) magnum opus, The Tales of Hoffmann, interweaves three interconnected stories derived from the works of romantic German author E. T. A. Hoffmann (1776-1822), who is the opera’s lead character. Making his Opera Orlando debut is Argentinian conductor Jorge Parodi.  Also making his Opera Orlando debut will be Cuban-born soprano Laura León as the four female heroines.  Bass-baritone Dennis Jesse will portray the four villains of the story.
